MEET OUR ADJUDICATORS
Tina started dancing at the age of two with the Mavdor School in her hometown of Weston Super Mare. Having gained her teaching qualifications at 17 she was awarded the Phylis Haylor Scholarship by the ISTD to further her training and she then went on to gain fellowships in Theatre and Ballroom Branches. In 1998 she was made an examiner for the UKA.
Tina has appeared in and choreographed numerous professional theatre productions including Musicals, Pantomimes and Summer Seasons which has given her the opportunity to work alongside many names such as George Sampson, Keith Harris, Bernie Clifton, Lorraine Chase and stars from Emmerdale, Eastenders, Coronation Street and Neighbours.
During her teaching career Tina has trained many pupils who have gained places to some of the top musical theatre and dance colleges in the country and who are now performing or teaching themselves. She also trained juniors to perform with professional ballet companies including Ballet Creations of London and the English National.
Tina ran her own successful dance studio for over 35 years as well producing annual productions with the musical theatre group ' Junior Showtime'. She now very much enjoys examining and adjudicating children across the country.
Tina is thrilled to be returning to the St Davids Festival of Dance for a second time.
Charlotte began dancing from an early age before leaving home at 16 to pursue a career in dance. She studied full time on the Professional Dancers and Teachers of Dance course at Preston College gaining her Advanced 2 ISTD qualifications in Imperial Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre and National Dance, passing with Distinction. She also achieved her Diploma in Dance Education in all 4 subjects.
Charlotte went on to perform professionally in the UK and Europe before realising her true passion lay in teaching. She returned home to Warwickshire to begin her teaching career and has had many students progress on to Laine Theatre Arts, Bird College, Northern Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
Charlotte has worked extensively to continue her professional development and holds Licentiate status with the ISTD in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National and is working towards her Fellowship qualifications. She is qualified in the Acrobatic Arts syllabus and is working towards her DDE in Classical Greek.
Charlotte has adjudicated regularly throughout the UK for the last 8 years and is looking forward to returning to Wales to adjudicate St David's Festival of Dance.
Alan started dancing with Jayne Burnett, Kimberley Cooper and Kay Travis before furthering his training at the Guildford School of Acting.
Alan will be appearing in Hello, Dolly! at the London Palladium this summer.

Alan was on the Senior Faculty and Course Coordinator for Foundation Musical Theatre at ArtsEd, Head of Acting & Artistic Consultant for CPA Studios’ Level 6 Trinity Diploma and Vice Principal/Head of Dance at The Musical Theatre Academy. Alan has also worked with Guildford School of Acting, Urdang, Trinity College of Music, London Studio Centre, London School of Musical Theatre, MADD College, the Sylvia Young Theatre School, Italia Conti and Can You Dance?.
Alan works as ‘the theatre coach’ (www.thetheatrecoach.com) training and mentoring young performers into the industry and through their careers, is the Founder of ‘The Parents of Young Performers’ group, is part of the #time4change Mental Health Charter, is the Director of the MT Associates - London, is the Programme Director for ttc:MANCHESTER, is on the panel for All England Dance, is a Patron of The Curious Theatre School, a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts and is a Co-Founder, Executive & Artistic Director of Ginger Dog Theatre.
Alan is delighted to have been asked to adjudicate The St Davids Festival of Dance and is really looking forward to seeing all the talented dancers and singers perform.
Sharon is an IDTA Examiner and British Federation Adjudicator.
After having a very successful performing career in her own right, she is now Director of a busy Performing Arts
School in the Midlands. Many students have gone on to have fulfilling careers in both stage, film and television. More recently her students have won Dance Master and runner up of the All England young dancer Uk and immediate past students are currently appearing in the West End playing lead roles.
Sharon is delighted to be returning to the St Davids Festival of Dance and is looking forward to watching and encouraging the young performers of tomorrow!
Antony trained at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks in Blackpool, Gaining his Associate in Ballet and Modern Jazz and in his final year being nominated for Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz at the I.D.T.A Theatre awards.
After graduating Antony worked for QDOS Entertainment before joining Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Victoria, then became Dance captain for the European tour of Musical Starnights. Following that he jumped into the roll of Timmy’s mother in a Middle Eastern tour of Shaun the Sheep for Bill Deamer and David Wood.
He then choreographed for Magic Quill theatre company in Oxford and Aladdin at the gala theatre in Durham before heading back to sea as assistant Dance captain aboard The Caribbean Princess and the Sapphire Princess for Princess Cruises. The same year Antony co-created The Fly Boys - a 4 piece vocal harmony group and 2014 found him in Niagara Falls performing Spirit of the Dance, as well as Rock around the clock touring China.
In 2015 Antony made his West End debut in Sadler's Well's production of The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre, for the Birmingham REP, and was invited back every year since, twice as Dance Captain.
In 2018 Antony made his film debut as a Leerie and lover boy penguin in Mary Poppins returns.
He now co-runs a murder mystery company with his wife and two boys in Oxfordshire where he has been choreographing and teaching for multiple dance schools and private schools for the last 10 years, adjudicating and teaching workshops up and down the country, whilst picking up his teaching qualifications where he left off, and continuing his dream of one day, hopefully becoming an Examiner for the I.D.T.A.
